Megan Brady, originally from Tinley Park, IL, graduated recently with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Communications; Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. She began her dance training at the age of three at Dance Images. At UWSP she studied with Joan Karlen, Michael Estanich, Jeannie Hill, Pamela Luedtke, Amy Beversdorf, and Patrick Strong. She has also taken classes and workshops from Max Pollak, Rennie Harris Puremovement, Tania Perez-Salas, Katherine Kramer, Eddy Ocampo, Mary Price Boday, and Nick Pupillo. Her performance credits include student concerts Afterimages Unplugged and Afterimages, and faculty and guest artist works The Lost Hive (2014), Bombon Nuevo (2016), Anthem (2016), A Classical Suite (2016), Sounding Off (2017), Snow (2017), Swingin' Ella (2018), and Hokkaido Sanctuary, Japan 7:21 a.m. (2018). She made her choreographic debut in Afterimages Unplugged 2016 with her work Where Love Lived First and presented another new work, Unshackled Disquietude, in the 2017 concert. In her time at UWSP, she received the Incoming Freshman Theatre Arts Scholarship, the Anne Gilfry Schierl Award for Outstanding Freshman in Dance, and the Katherine Bukolt Memorial Ballet Scholarship. She currently works as an Associate at Chicago Human Rhythm Project and the American Rhythm Center.
